Structural Design and Electrical Characteristics Analysis of Mid-Load Whip Antenna

In order to facilitate the integration of offshore surface antenna and reduce manufacturing cost, resonance shortening length omnidirectional radiation performance a centrally loaded whip are analyzed. By calculating impedance characteristics each part midload antenna, shortened in state is obtained; superimposed field strength far calculated its analyzed; simulation carried out by using FEKO electromagnetic software. Through test, reflection coefficient resonant frequency before after compared, directivity traditional compared. The experimental results show that under preset 75 MHz, decreases 4.414 dB 19.09 dB, respectively. optimal operating about 68.6 MHz–79.4 bandwidth 10.8 MHz. Compared with at null point receives larger strength.
